Casino Hotels

These are hotels first. Each has rooms, restaurants and space for shows or events, and each also has a gaming floor on the property. The notes below describe the whole place, not just the casino.

Montréal, Québec, Canada

Montreal Casino & Hotel

The building came first. It was put up for Expo 67 as the French and Québec pavilions, on Île Notre-Dame in the middle of the St. Lawrence.

Today the angular glass-and-aluminium structure holds restaurants, bars and a performance hall, with gaming floors spread over several levels. The architecture alone is worth the trip across the bridge.

Hotel arrangements linked to the casino have shifted over the years. Check current room options directly with the operator before building a stay around it.

Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada

Fallsview Casino Resort

It sits high above the Horseshoe Falls. Many rooms face the water.

The hotel tower has a spa, an indoor pool and a range of restaurants, from casual counters to a steakhouse. A large theatre hosts touring concerts and comedy.

The gaming floor is big, but it is only part of the building. Many guests come for the view and the shows and hardly touch it.

Richmond, British Columbia, Canada

River Rock Casino Resort

Convenience is the main story. Vancouver International Airport is a short drive away, and the Canada Line stops right outside.

The resort includes a hotel with suites, a spa, restaurants and a show theatre. It sits on the Fraser River, with a small marina alongside.

The casino floor is one part of the complex. Business travellers and airport stopovers make up a good share of hotel guests.

Rama, Ontario, Canada

Casino Rama Resort

Lake country surrounds it. The resort sits on Rama First Nation land near Orillia, between Lake Simcoe and Lake Couchiching.

Its hotel tower has a spa, a fitness room and several restaurants. A dedicated entertainment centre books big-name concerts throughout the year.

The gaming floor is large, but the property works well as a base for the lakes and cottage roads around it.
